Starting side by side, we did Kick-Throughs:
Charleston, let go on 5 and turn toward each other
Facing the other way, “kick, turn, kick, step”
Easy ending: leader puts arm around follower on 5, back
to Charleston position
Or, when you’re facing backwards, Reverse Skip-Up:
Start with leader’s left foot, follower’s right,
“Kick step, Kick step, Kick step, Kick step” turning
1/4 turn on each step, and travelling.
To end, leader stops the follower by taking her hand on
counts 3-4, making it into a tuck, so she turns the other way 5-6-7-8.
Swingout with a chassez, both partners going sideways
5-&-6-&-7-&-8.
Repeat to get back to where you came from.
Texas Tommy: normal swingout 1-4, follower turns 5-8
Suzy Q: leader needs to fudge his feet, then both put
their right foot in line with their left on 1, sliding feet apart
2. Repeat, traveling around the joined hands in a CW circle.
Right-to-right tuck turn
